Nico Hulkenberg's arrival in F1 has been a long time in the planning for Williams, and he embarks upon his career as the best-prepared rookie since Lewis Hamilton.

As the reigning GP2 Series champion his racing credentials are sound, and he has served a two-year apprenticeship with Williams as a gopher in the factory, so he's more than comfortable with his surroundings.

As well as being quick, the German is also highly intelligent and will relish the opportunity to learn from Rubens Barrichello's experience.
